TCAF Presents: Wowwee Zonk Small Press Room 2013

Local artists and TCAF collaborators Ginette Lapalme, Patrick Kyle and Chris Kuzma have once again pulled together an exciting group of artists from across North America for The Wowee Zonk Small Press Room 2013. The Toronto Reference Library’s Browsery will be transformed and filled to the brim with comics, zines, prints and much, much more!

Hey everyone, we curated this TCAF room again. 

Here’s a sneek peak of something im working on r now… (just to not make this post so boring)

Have you heard about CAKE?? it’s an awesome-to-be comics festival that will happen in Chicago in June. It is being organized by Edie Fake (amongst other people), so by that I can tell you that it will probably be really awesome. They’ve put together this fundraiser, so you can help this proyect exist in the glory that it deserves to!

My friends from Woweezonk will have a table there, which you should def check out! I think they will also have some copies of Ojitos Borrosos and Gang Bang Bong with them. Anyway, if you’re in or near Chicago, you should def check out CAKE and support it!!!

Wowee zonk 2 now available at Café con Leche

Wowee zonk is a trio of amazing canadians (Patrick Kyle, Ginette Lapalme and Chris Kuzma) that make comics, illustrations and dick jokes. Now we have the honour of carrying the 2nd issue of their comic anthology, which was released in 2009. Get it or zonk off!!!!!!!

I had the pleasure of seeing these amazing people at TCAF this year!!!!!

El próximo mes vamos a estar en el Anahuacalli en el Sonofest y en el Carrillo Gil en 4a Edición! No se los pierdan ; )

And sadly we wont be at the brooklyn fest but you can find some of our things at the Woweezonk’s table, be sure to look for it and get a lot of their things too cus they rule!

Also for those of you in Brooklyn don’t miss No Sombrero, a show of mexican artists breaking off from the mexican cliche folklore, looks like there is going to be some good stuff in it.

Wowee Zonk Presents BLESS THIS PRESS: TCAF Small Press Exhibition 2011

Taking place during TCAF on in The Bram and Bluma Appel Salon on Toronto Reference Library’s second floor, BLESS THIS PRESS features 2 days worth of upcoming and avant garde comic creators, print makers and illustrators including Closed Caption Comics, Ines Estrada, Lala Albert, and Michael Comeau, curated by and featuring Ginette Lapalme, Chris Kuzma and Patrick Kyle of Wowee Zonk. Be sure to visit the room both days, as exhibitors will be rotating!
